Within this mission, the Megatron squad sits in the Creator and Publisher Experience product area. This team owns core analytics surfaces across Spotify for Creators and Megaphone, helping creators better understand their audiences and grow their shows. Formed through the merger of two established teams, the squad is now focused on building a modern analytics platform across Spotify’s podcast ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • You will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex engineering initiatives, from early scoping through launch and iteration.
  • You will partner closely with Product and Design to shape a technically sound and achievable roadmap.
  • You will support your team in delivering high-impact work by removing blockers and improving team processes over time.
  • You will empower engineers to clearly communicate technical decisions with cross-functional partners.
  • You will foster a strong team culture through regular 1:1s, feedback, and a focus on psychological safety.
  • You will guide architectural discussions, balancing short-term needs with long-term system quality.
  • You will evaluate trade-offs across technical investments, including platform evolution and technical debt.
  • You will use data and business metrics to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • You will model and encourage thoughtful use of AI to improve development workflows and enable better insights for creators.

Who You Are

  • You have experience leading engineering teams delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • You are comfortable working in data and analytics domains, including concepts like pipelines, migrations, and analytics infrastructure.
  • You know how to build trust quickly and guide teams through ambiguity and change.
  • You collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and other stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • You have experience building or evolving team culture, especially in periods of transition or growth.
  • You care about creating an inclusive, supportive environment where individuals can do their best work.
